Summary

The Financial Terms Management Senior Manager will support the Revenue Operations Associate Director by leading a team responsible for the intake, validation, documentation and implementation of financial terms that support the end-to-end revenue cycle, ensuring compliance with client agreements and firm policies. The Senior Manager plays a critical role in designing and executing the future vision, structure and operations of the Financial Terms Management team. The ideal candidate brings deep financial acumen, operational leadership, and a proven ability to guide high-performing teams through growth and transformation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish a governance framework for managing client financial terms, ensuring consistency, compliance, and alignment with client agreements and firm policies. Framework includes ability to identify instances of non-compliance and implementing preventative measures to mitigate future risk.
  • Partner cross-functionally with key revenue cycle teams—including Conflicts & New Business, Pricing, Billing, Electronic Billing, Accounts Receivable and Revenue Management—to resolve inefficiencies, reduce errors, and improve end-to-end processes related to financial terms.
  • Develop and implement procedures for the efficient review and validation of financial terms during New Business Intake and throughout the client matter lifecycle.
  • Establish high standards for ensuring the accuracy of client financial terms in 3E and other internal systems.
  • Drive technology innovation to support the centralized storage of financial terms and enhance compliance with Outside Counsel Guidelines.
  • Identify process improvements for the intake and implementation of financial terms throughout the client matter lifecycle, ensuring communication to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Supervise, manage, lead (by example), mentor, and coach the members of the department.  Develop a world class team that will provide superior customer service to all internal and external clients. Complete staff evaluations annually.
  • Promote a high level of customer service within the team, ensuring customer service standards are set and achieved.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the legal industry, the firm’s practices, clients and business processes.

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. Target Salary Range

$170,000 - $205,000 if located in Illinois

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant revenue cycle experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, with proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse and high-performing team
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Advanced capability and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment
  • Advanced degree or certification
  • Experience with 3E, Sharepoint, Smartsheets, NetDocs
