Summary

Maintenance worker is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the Firm’s office space.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspects, maintains and repairs building fixtures and equipment to insure that they are safe and in proper working order.
  • Maintains and will make repairs in common areas (restrooms, pantry spaces, etc.).
  • Moves office furniture and other heavy and/or cumbersome items.
  • Handles light repair work (spackling, painting offices, etc.).
  • Operates a full range of equipment/power tools in a safe and effective manner.
  • Performs related duties and tasks, as assigned, and maintains accurate records and completes activity reports on those assigned duties.
  • Overtime is required as needed outside of office business hours, on weekends and some holidays to handle office/cubicle moves, preparation of new hire location and conference room set-up.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. Our compensation package also includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits program. Benefits information can be found here.

Target Salary Range

$49,000 – $59,000 if located in New York

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Demonstrated ability to do manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects
  • Computer literacy

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a law firm or other professional services company
