Summary

The Conflicts Analyst - Screens (CAS) provides administrative and screens drafting support to the Conflicts/New Business Supervisor – Screens (CNBSS). Initially, this support will consist of the preparation of screening memo drafts and building and implementing electronic screens in the Firm’s Intapp Walls system. The role will also include compiling background reports from various Firm resources to aid in resolving potential screening issues. The CAS may also be responsible for other research and administrative activities needed to support the Screens Team. This role will also include opportunities to understand the broader conflicts/new business intake process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the drafting of ethical and lateral screening memos for review by screen sponsors
  • Assist the CNBSS with reviewing Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), engagement letters (ELs), and client waivers for screening requirements; assist the CNBSS with establishing screens to adhere to those requirements
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is saved to electronic screens in the Intapp Walls system before implementation and distribution; assist in building and implementing walls when needed
  • Assist the CNBSS in compiling background report data for screen resolution issues; pull appropriate files and run reports as needed to obtain necessary information
  • Support the CNBSS in conducting audits of the Firm’s ethical screens and providing quality control assistance for new and existing screens
  • Communicate with requestors for additional information or clarification as necessary
  • Provide excellent customer service and administrative duties to Firm requestors and Screens Team
  • Perform various special projects and additional duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous analytical and/or research experience in an academic or business environment and/or experience with corporate research resources 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in Intapp Walls, Terms, and Intake
  • Proficiency in database systems & queries
