Lateral Legal Recruiting Coordinator

Summary

Coordinates the lateral associate and judicial clerk hiring process, which includes scheduling candidate interviews and general administrative support to the Lateral Legal Recruiting Director as well as the broader Legal Recruiting team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor submissions to lateral associate and judicial job requisitions in the applicant tracking system and escalating candidates to the Lateral Legal Recruiting Director for review.
  • Assist in responding to lateral associate and judicial clerk applicants.
  • Prepares and sends candidates pre-interview materials; updates and maintains candidate materials on an ongoing basis.
  • Coordinate screening and callback interviews, arrange meeting links for virtual interviews, and greet candidates upon arrival for in-person interviews.
  • Update candidate information and statuses in the applicant tracking system and ensure all data is current.
  • Sends interview evaluation forms to lawyers and monitors completion of evaluation forms; follows up as needed.
  • Maintains all stats on lateral candidates
  • Coordinates with headhunters when needed and maintains search firm agreements
  • Other duties as assigned by the Legal Recruiting Department

Candidates should be highly organized, possess excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; a very strong attention to detail; and a professional demeanor. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to achieve results. Candidate must be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a professional environment

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and Excel
