  • Staff Accountant - Partner Relations

  • Summary

    The Staff Accountant will support the Partner Relations team and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Firm processes and procedures and proper accounting and reporting of various partner and senior counsel matters. The individual will be responsible for supporting senior counsel administration and supporting onboarding and transition of partners to/from the Firm’s partnerships.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in monitoring compliance with funding initial capital requirements. Provide monthly reports on status of open capital funding arrangements;
    • Create senior counsel specific documents from a document compiler software (HotDocs);
    • Program and maintain templates in HotDocs, as needed;
    • Ensure timely and confidential payments to senior counsel throughout the Firm;
    • Prepare various monthly reports; 
    • Administer general senior counsel processes;
    • Reconcile and analyze general ledger and payroll transactions for partners and senior counsel;
    • Maintain data and prepare reports from the Firm’s financial systems;
    • Provide periodic statistical reports;
    • Prepare and maintain databases and spreadsheets in Excel; update and create PowerPoint presentations;
    • Other duties, as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience:


    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business degree  
    • A minimum of 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience


    • Strong experience with reconciliations
    • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills within his/her professional background
    • Professional services or law firm experience, preferably in partner accounting
