  • Accounting Assistant - Partner Accounting Operations

  • Summary

    The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for performing a range of general clerical and accounting support functions. The Accounting Assistant will use multiple systems and databases to complete their responsibilities.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform general ledger journal entry functions; register, import and post;
    • Update currency exchange rates in Partner Elite;
    • Create and prepare upload of general ledger accounts;
    • Prepare and post month-end reports;
    • Assist with the monthly partner draw statement distribution;
    • Coordinate with IT Business Intelligence team for the posting of monthly partner draw statements;
    • Maintain data integrity between the two partner systems - Partner Accounting System (PAS) and Partner Resource & Information Systems Management (PRISM);
    • Review Partner Information-Professional Data and communicate discrepancies between PeopleSoft and PRISM;
    • Collect and verify partner historical data and prepare upload to PRISM;
    • Scan document supports on a timely basis;
    • Provide general administrative assistance; filing, photocopying and mailing documents, as needed;
    • Ability to work overtime, as needed;
    • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience:


    • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • General office experience
    • Understanding of general accounting principles



    • Previous law firm experience
