Summary

The Human Resources Operations Process Analyst is responsible for performing advanced, specialized and administrative duties in the human resources area. S/he will drive the development and implementation of firmwide human resources processes/procedures and ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and legislation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to develop, coordinate and implement changes to streamline human resources processes, procedures and guidelines to effect continual improvements in efficiency in all functions of the human resources department.
  • Act as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to Human Resources to ensure consistent HR process application, compliance and help formulate strategies to achieve operational objectives.
  • Coordinate background check and other check processes, review and escalate results as necessary.
  • Develop method and procedures to comply and review HR data to help improve data timeliness and accuracy within HR systems that interface to downstream systems.
  • Proactively engage in strategic business planning where there is human resource impact in order to align human resources strategies with business objectives.
  • Manage projects/process improvements, including the following tasks: apply change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality. Identify and understand issues, concerns and opportunities. Compare data from different sources to draw conclusions. Uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develop appropriate solutions. Take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.
  • Understand qualitative/qualitative measurements and data design principles.
  • Ensure that Human Resources stays abreast of new human resources processes and market trends including current and pending federal, state and local laws.
  • Conduct periodic audits to help ensure Human Resources is in compliance with established internal and external policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Make independent and timely decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Answer inquires related to human resources policy and procedures as appropriate.
  • Work on special projects and assists with HR system upgrades and implementations from a process and procedure perspective.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • A minimum of 4 years in a human resources role with a compliance and/or process analyst/administration focus
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel & PowerPoint

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resources
  • HR certification
