The QA Analyst manages the end-to-end QA process, including defining and executing test plans, processes, and procedures. This position coordinates multiple testing efforts, ensures that test plans and test results are accurate and complete, and provides signoff on the quality of systems entering production. The QA Analyst will manage, monitor, and provide metrics on the bugs found in his/her assigned systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform test planning, execution, and verification activities for all applications, services, and upgrades within scope of responsibility.
  • Oversee assigned testing responsibilities including, but not limited to, functional, integration, deployment, and parallel system testing.
  • Document, escalate, manage, and report on testing issues on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Provide concise and accurate status information.
  • Understand the development life cycle; participate in its continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the program analysts to ensure system specifications are clear, documented, and testable.
  • Contribute to the automation of various testing activities.

Education and/or Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Science related field and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of standard QA concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of exploratory testing; able to test products in the absence of requirements
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
