Summary

The AI Systems Analyst is responsible for administering and supporting the Firm’s primary AI systems. This role combines technical expertise with user support and business analysis to ensure that lawyers and staff are equipped to maximize the value of AI tools. The Analyst will be a support resource for the firm’s commercial and custom AI platforms and will help users craft effective prompts, create and manage custom GPTs, and configure internal AI solutions. The role will partner with Product Managers and other cross-functional teams as well as end-users to improve adoption, enhance system functionality, and deliver impactful AI-driven solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as frontline technical resource on commercial and custom-built AI tools; help train and guide users on effective prompt engineering, custom GPT creation, and other AI best practices;
  • Work with the Product Managers, end users, developers and team management to understand business processes and requirements; identify gaps, communicate and define requirements for enhancements to technical solutions;
  • Assist in the development of process changes or new technical solutions to satisfy the business need for projects and daily operations;
  • Perform administrative and configuration support for the Firm’s internally built AI platforms;
  • Provide hands-on user support and issue resolution for AI systems; troubleshoot data and application issues with end users; fully analyze the impact and determine the strategy for a resolution; fully test and reconcile resolutions; assist in the implementation of the solution;
  • Collaborate with AI Product Management, AI Engineering, and other teams and business users to capture requirements and configure AI tools to meet business needs;
  • Recommend, implement, and test enhancements or process changes to optimize system performance and user experience;
  • Stay current with industry trends in generative AI, prompt engineering, and enterprise AI administration;
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources for AI system usage.
  • Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI adoption and provide guidance on best practices for system use.
  • Other duties, as needed.

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. Target Salary Range

$90,000 - $105,000 if located in Illinois

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited and approved college or university; or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience supporting technical tools or systems, with at least some direct experience using or administering AI systems
  • Strong working knowledge and familiarity with commercial AI platforms and tools (ChatGPT, Anthropic, Gemini, Copilot, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate across business units and translate technical concepts into business-friendly language and provide user training/support.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Preferred:

  • Experience in professional services or law firm environment.
  • Hands-on experience configuring, administering, or supporting AI tools
  • Exposure to prompt engineering methodologies and AI governance considerations
  • Comfort with scripting platforms or light automation (e.g., Python, Power Automate) preferred
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills within professional background
