Senior Meeting Planner

Summary

Responsible for developing, prioritizing and working on all aspects of planning, development and on-site execution of events and conferences as assigned by the Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in development of theme, organization and execution of the logistics for Firmwide events, meetings and conferences of all sizes.
  • Organizes required catering services, menus, room setups, audio visual, and transportation (as needed).
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on value added for all programs
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with various hotels and facilities pertaining to each individual project or event.
  • Determines appropriate responses to problems, challenges and emergencies handling on site execution of projects or programs
  • Assists in creation in internal and external meeting materials.
  • Provides project status updates on an ongoing basis to Director.
  • Forecasts and projects budgeting cost analyses for programs and events assigned by Director.
  • Researches hotels, restaurants and outside venues to present to various partner committees.

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. Target Salary Range

$102,000 – $115,000 if located in Illinois

Education and/or Experience: 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of five years of experience in meeting planning.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite (including Excel) and Photoshop.

Preferred:

  • CMP (Certified Meeting Planner)
