Investment Operations Senior Analyst

Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Investment Operations (Senior Manager), the Investment Operations Senior Analyst (Senior Analyst) will support and oversee elements of the daily operations of partner investment programs.  He/she will contribute to the development and monitoring of operational and financial controls and procedures associated with the investment programs. 

The Senior Analyst works closely with the appropriate business stakeholders to prioritize and create operational efficiency while managing risk across team procedures, accounting and investor reporting applications, and investor relations.  The Senior Analyst maintains a set of institutional knowledge of what is working well operationally within the investment programs, and what needs improvement. This involves gaining in-depth knowledge regarding the investment programs day-to-day operations and business processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination and execution of ongoing business operations to support the partner investment programs and investment vehicles established within those programs.
  • Articulate and advance operational strategies that best serve the various partner investment programs.
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager to build and document best practices and controls for a best-in-class operational infrastructure to support current investment programs with flexibility for growth.
  • Be a subject matter expert for fund administration software to evaluate and identify areas to further leverage the software’s capabilities including building reports and queries.
  • Develop strategies to improve investor experience by improving quality control across workflows and investor reporting and communication.
  • Act as the primary coordinator and team lead for investor data management and integrity.
  • Facilitate the annual audit and tax filing processes for all investments.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of legal documents such as subscription and redemption documents, templates, and legal filings.
  • Respond to questions and requests from investors with the highest level of service.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operational workflows and elevate investment service offerings.
  • Align with and drive execution of team strategies and objectives.

 

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. Target Salary Range

$100,000 - $110,000 if located in Illinois

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including investment operations, financial, and/or data management functions within a relevant financial services organization including family office, endowments, foundations, private offerings, other asset managers, and consulting firms.

Preferred:

  • Experience with operational risk and control, audit and escalation processes, investor tax reporting, and investor record maintenance.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and adeptness at learning new systems.
  • Experience in administering, maintaining, and optimizing data to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams including, Accounting, IT, Retirement Plans, and external vendors.
